We're human, and yet, there are moments we'd love to avoid.
For example, moments when...
- Your bladder leaks unexpectedly...
- We forget important things.
- Hair starts falling out unexpectedly...
- Bad sleep causes neck or back pain
Countless studies point to this seed oil for relief
This fall vegetable produces a seed that helps with hormones, inflammation, immune support, brain health and so much more.
That's because it's loaded with phytonutrients. That's just a fancy word for natural plant based chemicals that have important functions.
Some incredibly valuable ones like:
- Zinc - Important for fighting off viruses and limiting inflammation
- Magnesium - Helping bones, energy and nerve function
- Healthy Fats - Supporting lower blood pressure and reduced 'bad' cholesterol
- Phytosterols - Which fight the hormone that causes male pattern baldness
- Tryptophan - Known to enhance sleep quality
There's many more we could list, like calcium, potassium, iron, selenium, lutein, and many other vitamins and antioxidants!
Yet despite practically being a multivitamin, it has a rich nutty taste people love!
This superfood has been deeply researched, and has also been used in many holistic health traditions, such as Ayurvedic therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In addition to their benefits, black sesame seeds also have a deeply rich, nutty flavor that has a great taste on it's own, and pairs amazingly with salads.
The core benefits of Pumpkin Seed Oil:
- Hold onto your hair. Male pattern baldness (as well as hair loss in women) may be associated with overly high levels of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). One of the phytochemicals in pumpkin oil, beta-sitosterol, has been found to block the conversion of testosterone into DHT. Pumpkin oil also contains delta-7-sterol, which blocks DHT via a different mechanism. The effects of these naturally occurring chemicals have led to speculation that pumpkin oil could support people experiencing hair loss.
- Heal your digestive tract. The high fatty acid content of pumpkin oil can balance out excess inflammation in the GI tract, helping to soothe uncomfortable and embarrassing symptoms associated with unhealthy digestion.
- Make your heart happy. Aiming to reduce your risk of heart disease? Pumpkin seed oil may be able to help. Research shows that pumpkin seed oil has high levels of phytosterols which are believed to help reduce absorption of LDL (bad) cholesterol when taken with your meal. [1]
- Ease the symptoms of menopause. Natural phytoestrogens in pumpkin seed oil have the potential to help lower your blood pressure, and offer relief from symptoms like hot flashes, headaches and joint pain.
Important Note:
The phyto-chemical and bioactive compounds of pumpkin seed oil are dramatically impacted by the extraction method.
A study released in 2022 by the Harcourt Butler Technical University found losses in nutritional benefits when solvents, heat or extended extraction time were present.
It just adds further proof that our delicate process really makes a difference compared to what you'll find on the average store shelf.
